Atomic was a collaborative project to created visuals for a new piece of music by Count If (thee experimetal incarnation of composer Andrew Hall).
3 other visual artists joined me in producing video for the 4 distinct sections of the piece. Mine is the opening and features four characters: person, fish, plant and stool. All of whom are later remixed and incorporated by the other artists into their parts. A poem, written and performed by Sasha Ilyukevich, also accompanies my section.
It goes without saying that the film, and music, is an exploration of speculative realism, looking hard at our object oriented ontology as we strive to grasp the hyperobjects of our existence.
